The MSc Thesis Examination Committees (specific to each candidate) will be ad hoc Committees and will have the responsibility of evaluating the results of the MSc Thesis report of student according to the program of studies. Students will carry an MSc research project under the guidance of an advisor who will be a holder of a PhD and/or an MD degree. The MSc Thesis Examination Committee will be composed of three members one of whom will be the students’ advisor and at least on faculty member of N.E.T.S. (one of whom will be chairing the committee). If the third member is an external assessor, he or she should hold a PhD and/or an MD degree. The Committee will decide whether to pass the student and will forward its decision to the Academic Committee for evaluation/validation. Decisions will be taken by a majority vote and in case of tie the Chairman of the MSc Thesis Examination Committee will have the deciding vote.

The PhD Thesis Progress Examination Committees (specific to each candidate) will be ad hoc Committees and will have the responsibility of evaluating the results of the PhD Thesis progress examination of students according to the program of studies. The PhD Thesis Progress Examination Committee will be composed of three members, one of whom will be the student’s advisor and at least one faculty member of N.E.T.S. (one of whom will be chairing the Committee), if the third member is an external assessor, he or she should hold a PhD and/or an MD degree. The Committee will decide whether to allow a student to proceed with the PhD thesis and will forward its decision to the Academic Committee for evaluation/validation. Decisions will be taken by a majority vote and in case of tie the Chairman of the PhD Thesis Progress Examination Committee will have the deciding vote.

A PhD Thesis Examination Committee will be composed of three members, one of whom will be the student’s advisor, one faculty member of N.E.T.S., who will be chairing the Committee and an external assessor who will be a faculty member of a University or a group head of a research institute. The Committee will decide whether to award the degree of PhD and will forward its decision to the Academic Committee for evaluation/validation. Decisions will be taken by a majority vote and in case of the Chairman of the PhD Thesis Examination Committee will have the deciding vote.
